be nice & don't laugh as she's a little shy!!
Do you like her party dress?

I know shes a little sad looking...thats how shes meant to be...but I love her all the same! After attending a recent class taught by Jill GG http://jillgg.typepad.com/jillygg/ I got to see one of her girls she draw IRL....I fell in love with these girls she draws & just wanted to give it a go myself. This is my first attempt & maybe not my last, i think she rather cute....in a EMO sort of way :0) There is also a feature article in the latest SC mag about drawing your own precious girlie. I have no idea what her future holds but maybe tomorrow I will get to play...as they say watch this space!!

SCrapper of OZ...

Well....This is round 4 LO from The Scrapper of OZ comp
over at Scrapz.Biz.
You had to scrap about your favourite shoes, hide four secret weapons (must be visible but not obvious)& use a special technique. My 'weapons' are...safety pin which has beads hanging from it (next to the small pink flower)...hair clip which is near the top white rose -its a flower one with bling in the middle. Visa card which I printed from google image & used as a matt under the photo (wish i had a real gold AMEX!!) & a smile - which I used as my title & also my technique. I put alphas down on the CS & then sprayed over with walnut ink, let dry & then lifted the alphas off. I found this technique over at Blossies blog & loved it!!
Any way...as yet I've not been placed in the finals...two more Round winners to be announced but I'm not holding my breath as these ladies are some talented scrappers!!! but oh well I've gotten some LOs scrapped that I wouldn't have done other wise. I loved the challs that were set & really enjoyed participating. Can't wait to see what the girls do in the finals, they will all receive a parcel of the same goodies to use on their LO's.

Scrap with V...cyber crop....

'Imperfect parts of Life' CC was on Friday night over at
The DT girls set some fantastic challs with lots of distressing & imperfect pics being used. Here's my LOs for the challenges.

Brigette set Chall 1 as a Mini Class & using Main colours OF BROWN, BLUE and ... USE ONLY ONE TYPE OF EMBELLISHMENT of your choice ALLOWED & a quote . I choose to use Cosmo Cricket Elements & my quote reads...a small son can charm himself into and out of most things.
Chall 2 was set by Jodi.
*a photo of someone or something behaving less than perfect!!!!!
*use the words "Chuck'in a Tantie/Tanty"
*some form of distressing
*some kind of punched shape
I used a photo of S drinking out of a Pyrex jug instead of a glass!! DISGUSTING BOY...

Kylie's Blind Chall was so much fun & right up my alley! Lots of distressing & paint!!
Used a blurry pic from the Pink concert.

& Chall 4 was Taryn's sketch, just love it, such a nice sketch to use.
More tomorrow.

Scrapper of Oz Comp

Round 3 from the Scrapper of Oz @
What a interesting chall this week was...
- show us the chore you / or someone else despise the most
- your title has to follow the following pattern "pat, pat, pat" (the verb repeated three times just like in the second video clip)
- you must use distressing techniques to symbolize your dislike of your chosen chore
- you must include a red flower to represent the field of poppies
and white ribbon or string to represent the snow somewhere on your page.
Here's what I ended up with...
My journalling reads...
'Washing...Washing...Washing...its the never ending chore & don't even mention the folding!'

1. Use a November Stuck?! Sketch {there are two - one uploaded on the 1st, one uploaded on the 15th}
2. Use a baby/pregnancy photo {seeing as Sara and myself just have had bubs!}
3. Use a diecut on your layout {thanks Kylie Howland}

& MAKE SURE YOU JOIN AND UPLOAD YOUR LAYOUTS TO STUCK SKETCHES TOO!!!Visit Stuck?! Sketches
From Charmane @ 123 Blog Chall

just some scrappin...

Had a very cool picture to use as inspiration for October A2Z chall.
Here's my LO, which I really like BTW ;0)
Love this pic of A, he's such a sweetheart when he's in the mood & look at those BLUE eyes!! WOW & he's my son. xx
October @ WW1 criteria was WHITE + DUCK EGG BLUE + DISTRESSING
http://whitewith1.blogspot.com/
So I used my Glimmermist AGAIN!! splattered it for a messy distressed look, distress the edges of the CS, sanded the photo edges to. Used some sheer fabric to fashion some sort of flowers & coloured the lace (which I cut from a large old doily from the op shop!!) GLIMMERMIST again I LOVE GLIMMERMIST!! Pic is one that my sister got from out Grandma, I think its of my 2 Aunty's & my Dad.
Melbourne Cup Flutter LO for over @ http://www.scrapz.biz/CHATZONEZ
Had to use the title 'Ready set GO'...a set of colours from last years jockeys...a time piece.
The colours I used are, red - yellow - blue & my time piece is the 'Gone to my happy place...back in 5' written on the Cosmo Cricket element...as in back in 5 minutes. Used a pi of A jumping of the boardwalk @ the beach down the front!! Look at Miss T!! Hoping that he jumps over her & not land on her!! He's crazy & will try anything once that boy!!!
I found a new challenge site...Out of the Hat...
& I did the October chall, the criteria was, a double 12 x 12 LO, something folded on your LO & journal in your hand writing. I had to use some of my new glimmermist & screens on this LO for something different!! LOVE GLIMMERMIST :0)
Their November criteria is
1. A tree
2. 3 pics of different sizes
3. Use a die cut paper
You've got til the end of the month to get your entry in.
My October Black with 2 LO...heeheehee
Had to use Black + Pink + White + 3 chippie embellies!
Love that pic of Phillipa!!!
xx

Scrapper of Oz...

Round 2 of the Scrapper of OZ comp was a doozy!!
The criteria was...
- the title “If Only …”
- a distinct left and right side (mirroring the two hemispheres of the brain)
- a heart
- one of the historic symbols of courage (swan, bear, hand, arrow, beetle, lion, dog, unicorn or crown)
Keeping in mind this is following along with The wizard of Oz story.
Here's what I came up with...
My title ' If only I knew then what I know now' & the words 'then' & 'now' are my distinct left & right sides of the LO. Used a gold crown that I got from Reverse Garbage last holiday trip in there!! & a little heart in the bottom right corner of the title. The pic is of me when I was about 16yrs old. The frill around the LO is made using paper & I learnt it from the talented Jill GG
@ at recent class she taught at Blossies.
You cut it into strips, wet it, scrunch it up & attach it to the CS...LOVE IT!!
I'll let you know what Rnd 3 is shortly...its even better!!!

some LO's

Just some scrapping to share...

A LO for a chall over at http://www.scrapz.biz/CHATZONEZ . I used some pictures of my sister & cousin from the the 70's. How cute are they!!
This one is the monthly sketch chall over at
http://www.123scrapbook.com.au/forum/index.php. I used a pic of Dad that i took on his 60th birthday while he was feeding the cows. I really like this photo, its really him.

The monthly sketch from http://forum.scrapwithv.com.au/
You've got til the end of the month to get this one done. Used a pic of A that I took one arvo at the beach...as usual he wouldn't look at the camera so I thought the quote was quite fitting!! Cheeky bugger!!

& this LO just cause I love it!! My DS Laurelle showed me how to turn a piece of calico into a base for a LO - just paint with gesso!! Its a very funky LO & I love how it turned out. The Kaiser rub-on that I used went on really well too. Pic if of course of Miss T!!

& this LO is for my chall that I set over at http://forum.scrapwithv.com.au/
The 'Everyday Moments' CC is on this weekend & entries close next Saturday. My chall was to do a LO about something that you do everyday but you aren't allowed to use any photos. I'm really pleased with my LO & I journalled about the bed-time ritual in our house.
More soon

Scrapper of OZ

Scrapper of Oz comp is happening over at Scrap Biz
You can join in at any time so go & have a look, Heike sets some amazing challenges so join in.
the first challenge is up & is due by Wednesday 21st October.
The chall is to do a LO that features...
- your or someone else's dreams/plans/hopes
- a scene as your background (eg. stamped, paper-pieced, drawn etc)
- include the seven colours of the rainbow
- an element of movement
& this is what I ended up with...
The background is a page out of a kids book - a flower garden scene - that I stuck to some cardstock & added some pp - clouds & green pp for grass. All the colours of the rainbow are in there - somewhere!!??? & my element of movement is the butterflies flying amongst the flowers & the hummingbird hovering above the pink flowers in the clouds. I based the LO around the photo of Miss T & her friend that she took herself using the self timer on her camera. & my hope is that Miss T continues to be creative with her photography - she always manages to get such interesting angles & she isn't afraid to experiment when taking photos. the quote I used at the top of the clouds reads...
'Creativity is the quality that you bring to the activity that you are doing.'
So anyway I've got it done & have been wanting to try using pictures from old kids books for a while so i figure nothing ventured nothing gained!!

time flies...

Just some scrappin...

a pic of Ngaire & I after her delightful class. Girls...have a closer look at what she has in her hand??? PINK had a great time too!!!

I scraplifted this LO from a NZ scrappin mag...I can't remember the lady who did the original LO but I loved it the minute I saw it. Mine is slightly different & a little brighter in colour but still very much the same. Thank-u to her for great inspiration & ta to Phillipa for letting me play with her glimmermist...mmmm very nice stufff!
I played along at the 123 SCRAPBOOK CC over the weekend
& got a few challs done. The theme was sports & hobbies.

http://www.123scrapbook.com.au/forum/index.php
The LO above is for Karlene's chall, had to use...Mixed alpha title...At least 4 Patterned Papers...Use a transparency. got it all in there & used a pic of A while on holidays at TinCan Bay.

This one of Miss T reading was for Ngaire's chall & had to use... Think BIG – use alphas that are larger than you normally use....Time to think outside the square – in a circle in fact. I want to see a circle somewhere on your layout .... Get the Glitz going – I want to see some Kindyglitz somewhere (preferably a coloured one, but Crystalina will do if you only have that).

& this last LO is for the October BW2 Chall
http://blackwith2challenge.blogspot.com/
Had to use Black + orange + blue + die-cut + felt or foam alphas.

I took this pic while at the drags @ Willowbank one afternoon. I love these pics...just goes to show no matter where you are the sunset is still gorgeous!!
