Look what I grew...

& ate for dinner..
Mini mixed lettuce, shallots & garlic chives!!
Also growing but not quite ready are tomatoes, basil & parsley
I love my little veggie garden, just 4 pots in the garden but I'm very pleased that I managed to keep something alive!! If only we had more space...I would grow lots more veggies, they tasted delish!!
Also managed to get a LO done for the Scrap with V CC
This one was done using Wendy's Blind Challenge instructions...

I really like it & love that I finally got to use these Sassafrass Lass papers...so cute!! Pics are of Miss T dressed up as a Superhero at her birthday party earlier this year! What was she thinking but thank goodness someone took a photo of it I say :0)

some LO's

Just some scrapping to share...

A LO for a chall over at http://www.scrapz.biz/CHATZONEZ . I used some pictures of my sister & cousin from the the 70's. How cute are they!!
This one is the monthly sketch chall over at
http://www.123scrapbook.com.au/forum/index.php. I used a pic of Dad that i took on his 60th birthday while he was feeding the cows. I really like this photo, its really him.

The monthly sketch from http://forum.scrapwithv.com.au/
You've got til the end of the month to get this one done. Used a pic of A that I took one arvo at the beach...as usual he wouldn't look at the camera so I thought the quote was quite fitting!! Cheeky bugger!!

& this LO just cause I love it!! My DS Laurelle showed me how to turn a piece of calico into a base for a LO - just paint with gesso!! Its a very funky LO & I love how it turned out. The Kaiser rub-on that I used went on really well too. Pic if of course of Miss T!!

& this LO is for my chall that I set over at http://forum.scrapwithv.com.au/
The 'Everyday Moments' CC is on this weekend & entries close next Saturday. My chall was to do a LO about something that you do everyday but you aren't allowed to use any photos. I'm really pleased with my LO & I journalled about the bed-time ritual in our house.
More soon

Scrapper of OZ

Scrapper of Oz comp is happening over at Scrap Biz
You can join in at any time so go & have a look, Heike sets some amazing challenges so join in.
the first challenge is up & is due by Wednesday 21st October.
The chall is to do a LO that features...
- your or someone else's dreams/plans/hopes
- a scene as your background (eg. stamped, paper-pieced, drawn etc)
- include the seven colours of the rainbow
- an element of movement
& this is what I ended up with...
The background is a page out of a kids book - a flower garden scene - that I stuck to some cardstock & added some pp - clouds & green pp for grass. All the colours of the rainbow are in there - somewhere!!??? & my element of movement is the butterflies flying amongst the flowers & the hummingbird hovering above the pink flowers in the clouds. I based the LO around the photo of Miss T & her friend that she took herself using the self timer on her camera. & my hope is that Miss T continues to be creative with her photography - she always manages to get such interesting angles & she isn't afraid to experiment when taking photos. the quote I used at the top of the clouds reads...
'Creativity is the quality that you bring to the activity that you are doing.'
So anyway I've got it done & have been wanting to try using pictures from old kids books for a while so i figure nothing ventured nothing gained!!

time flies...

Just some scrappin...

a pic of Ngaire & I after her delightful class. Girls...have a closer look at what she has in her hand??? PINK had a great time too!!!

I scraplifted this LO from a NZ scrappin mag...I can't remember the lady who did the original LO but I loved it the minute I saw it. Mine is slightly different & a little brighter in colour but still very much the same. Thank-u to her for great inspiration & ta to Phillipa for letting me play with her glimmermist...mmmm very nice stufff!
I played along at the 123 SCRAPBOOK CC over the weekend
& got a few challs done. The theme was sports & hobbies.

http://www.123scrapbook.com.au/forum/index.php
The LO above is for Karlene's chall, had to use...Mixed alpha title...At least 4 Patterned Papers...Use a transparency. got it all in there & used a pic of A while on holidays at TinCan Bay.

This one of Miss T reading was for Ngaire's chall & had to use... Think BIG – use alphas that are larger than you normally use....Time to think outside the square – in a circle in fact. I want to see a circle somewhere on your layout .... Get the Glitz going – I want to see some Kindyglitz somewhere (preferably a coloured one, but Crystalina will do if you only have that).

& this last LO is for the October BW2 Chall
http://blackwith2challenge.blogspot.com/
Had to use Black + orange + blue + die-cut + felt or foam alphas.

I took this pic while at the drags @ Willowbank one afternoon. I love these pics...just goes to show no matter where you are the sunset is still gorgeous!!
