Scrappin Relay...

over at
the 'invitation' LO done...

Oh my...who'd of thought...
To make my Lo I used Kraft CS (my fav atm) & built it from there..'sticken everything down with DS Tape or Pritt Gel. With no great photos to use of Miss T's 13th bday -small & dark due to the originals be lost somewhere in my old broken down compt!!! - I had decided that i would have to go with a vintagie looking LO...which also went perfectly with her High-Tea party.
Sooo...you gotta love OCTOBER AFTERNOON for vintage...i used REPORT CARD:SCIENCE FAIR -blue check & REPORT CARD:STORY HOUR - red spot, as strips along the base. Also used the black scallop piece cut from THREE BUGS IN A RUG:SPREAD YOUR WINGS LITTLE BIRD pp. Being a Tea Party I had to have a ruffle on the page ...

-like the ruffle of the table cloth! - by using the absolutely devine (MIST)*A*BLES CREPE RIBBONS in sheet music by TATTERED ANGELS i lightly gathered it & DS TAPED it down - its so easy to use!! & couldn't not add some glitz....glimmermisted it with lemon zest GLIMMERMIST!!! mmmm
OH...then to add an invitation???? HOW U ASK...i asked the same question??? & this is what I came up with...
A few weeks ago I found these gorgeous orange doilies at my local op shop...love that op shop -SAVE THE CHILDREN in Margate if your a local. HHHhhmmm..how to use them...
MAKE A POCKET is what i did... perfect solution to add an invitation into!!
Cut my doiliy to size & added the cut bit to the top for good measure :0) & then stitched the bigger part onto my CS around the bottom edge..taaadar - a pocket!!

THEN THE INVITATION...

I didn't have the original invite - we didn't make one for ourselves- but I did take a photo of them ;0) I had made them to look like cupcakes!! so cute!! I printed the invite photo out 6x4 & cut off the 'frosting' & stuck it to a 'patty paper' made from CO-ORDINATES CS. The patty paper is actually like a card - with journalling inside- that sits in the pocket perfectly.
It sits in the pocket - not adhered- so that you can take it out & read the journalling. On the invites I had added some 'sprinkles' to the 'frosting' by dotting on some KINDYGLITZ.
Perfect time to add a WISH BINGO CARD (love..love..love...jenni bowlin stuff) so it looks like its stuffed in the pocket, along with a small paper doiliy.
Keeping in the teen theme my THICKER title is abbreviated & added some cute little FLOWERS to top it off.
Gotta add some embellies...gorgeous little PRESENT CHARM, one on the top doiliy & another...just too cute...to the pocket. Along with a few more FLOWERS, stuck on with PRITT GEL & a touch of BLING as the centres.
On the THREE BUGS IN A RUG black scallop I used 'a happy memory' quote cut from OCTOBER AFTERNOON:THE THRIFT SHOP...ONE OF A KIND pp - which has awesome quotes on one side!! To make it stand out a little more i covered it with DIMENSIONAL MAGIC...which I also did on the wish word of the BINGO CARD.
To finish of my LO I hand drew a simple line border around the edge of the CS using a SLICK WRITER PEN.
go over to the gallery to check out all the LO's...
