well Tuesday & all of us...

the girls off to the races...Melbourne Cup Day at Caloundra!!

had a absolute ball...loved every second of it!!

except the afternoon headache...

my fascinator...who says scrapin' stuff is just for paper!!!

managed to save all files but one!! AMAZING to say the least...even better the one that couldn't be saved was photos that i had printed already!!

FABULOUS!!

so there will be no pictures for a while...

i have to find the cable to my camera..my compt had a SD slot this one doesn't.

I got new shoes!!!

well I'm not wearing them NOW but when i go out in a few weeks time i will be!!

LOVE THEM...totally impractical but totally gorgeous

what i wore...

WEDNESDAY...
all ready???!!!...


i really must try harder i think...
pretty much then same as my usual attire when i have to go out for non-important duties...jeans (the weather has changed again & its a little cool???), singlet & a 3/4ish light top - which i love!
no make-up or jewellery...kinda boring but that's me most days ;0)

then for some extra glamour i put on my apron & made a cake!! & then promptly dropped it on the bench when i was getting it out of the tin!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! look in the container...see the raggedy bit on the end...aaaauuuurrrggghhh!!!

september....

123 challenge was to use

the colour WHITE, the word ON & WHITE SPACE as a technique...

so that's what i did!

I painted a whtie BG for my pic & added some other splats along the way, added some bright colours & bold pp on the black CS. the title..get your cool ON...is quite appropriate for A at the moment, he's taken to skateboarding & looking the part is a must!! the pic was taken on his 13th b'day with his new skateboard he got for a pressie.

the theme was CONSERVATIVE (feminine/demure) so taking inspiration from the description given....pastel colours, small prints, simple accessories & rounded lines (just some) I came up with this LO.

I used a pic of Miss T & A taken in Vegas last year.

i do have new dark hair after a trip to the hairdressers though :0)

Mum will not like it but i'm really liking it dark & got rid of that horrid blonde bit in the side...

passion for fashion...

here week 1 LO...

the theme was Haute Couture.

& you have to translate that to a scrap page!!! i used some pp frills, punched cirlce for layers, spiral flowers & a unique photo from Valentines day a few years back - some heart coral i found on the beach & a note from darling S on my shopping list!

Week 2 is Dramatic...

yeah...not sure about this one?? & you also had to use a quote from a movie.

I used one from Footloose ' I thought this was a party...let's dance.' Footloose was actually the song that was playing when i took this photo while i was out with some friends!

ate delicious avo on wholemeal toast with s&p...YUM!!

wore my super cute neck scarf that Ma knitted!! it was chilly walking this morning!!

baked a choc cake..again YUM!!

painted my toes purple!!

& i've just finished my first TGIF drink!! once again YUM!!!

on What i wore Wednesday!!

blahhhh...is all i can say this week...

had to go out - feeling miserable - couldn't be bothered really..

so this is what i wore & i reflects my mood perfectly..

black basic shirt from Jeanswest - the best place to buy them i've found.

comfy grey pants - don't know where they are from but i do remember them originally be $60 & i got them for $10!!

& my trusty black flats from Big W which i love, also a gorgeous green bangle that came from Diva...i originally bought as a b'day pressie for a friend & i liked it for myself - terrible i know!!

August chall @ 123 was to use...

the word WHAT, the colour BLACK & MULTIPHOTOS

here's what i did...

the colour BLACK as my accent to the bright colours - matted my photos in black CS, black (cinder) glimmermist splatters, black rub-on journal block & black thread on the banner.

the word WHAT is in my journalling - its was the first word on a rub-on journal block from an old Kaiser pack.

for the MULTIPHOTOS i used some pics that A had taken in the pool with Miss T's new camera - i love them they are very cool...much like him he tells me!!!

Kraft It Up...

have a gorgeous sketch to follow this month for their August KIU chall...

here's what i did

the original sketch is a multi-photo sketch but the pics that i had taken at the time of this photo weren't that great. I was in a hurry to go out & snapped a few quick shots..
so i used 1 big photo of S & I & then

i decided to use tiny little proof prints of the other ones which were the view from our room

at the Casino on the Gold Coast!!

What a FABULOUS weekend we had!!

another week gone by over at Scrapz.Biz

week 5...scrap whats in your handbag.

so i based my LO around a set of keys that have been in my bag for 3-4years now!! they are for my LSS, Passion for Paper, where i show the ladies how to make cards - i don't teach them anything, just show them stuff :0) - well its a sad week...P4P is closing its doors after 7years!!

you had to use something you found in your handbag -paper napkin i made into a ruffle.

something shiny - thickers, metallic pin, glitter on flower.

a shop card or credit card - i printed a picture of a credit card & punched butterflies out & also put some of the card under my embellies.

this week the chall was to scrap a page about 'in your car' & include a car, at least 2 photo & a map.

I got in done this morning & got everything in there. I scrapped my page about whats in my car, just the norm....PLUS a donkey salt & pepper shaker that i found at the op-shop & had to have!! He's so cute & has taken up residence in my glove box.

which might i say i got for a bargain!!! $8 from City Beach!! LOVE my bangle which i got for a home jewellery party a few years back & that scarf...20c from the little op-shop near the kids old school!!! but other then that...jeans, white top...just the usual.
