mmmmm....cake

i made a Red Velvet cake for some very special ladies last night.

a bit of a dottie theme , it started with the gorgeous spotty cup-cake holder & went from there...

my LSS is closing after 7 delightful years & we celebrated with a bit of a shin-dig, it was a fun evening, shared at the shop with some lovely ladies who have been very loyal & supportive.

The girls - Mel & Chris - that own this shop are simply gorgeous & i nearly can't believe that they won't be there much longer...I don't think they know how much they & their cute little shop will be missed!

i went all out with the cake, just for them as i know that they appreciate the little extra things. The red spots were licorice rolls that i chopped up, such a fancy cake needed a topper & what a more appropriate topper for a paper shop then a cute little banner.

July WW1

i had some time so i did the White with 1 July chall

This month the colour is Teal/Aqua & you have to use chipboard.

so here's my LO... nothing to fancy...a mish-mash of pp, prima flowers, silk ribbon, chippie MM clocks & some delish scrapmatts birds - in the raw 'cause they are sooo cute already!!

& a super cute photo of Miss T & A in front of the 'it's a small world' ride/display at Disneyland! It really was a fantastic display, too much to take it almost.

just cause i love all the close up shots i see everyone else do ;0)

Scrapz.Biz latest comp has started...pop over & join in!! It's never too late...

the first chall criteria...take a photo at the supermarket (oh YES!!) & scrap it, include on your page - the docket, the word 'trolley' or 'basket' and a tag.

my title... there's no flowers in my trolley & journalling... just boring groceries...how sad!!

i used some tags to make a little border under the photo.

& turned my docket into flowers with the help of a few punches & buttons!!

what have you been doing???

I've been doing a lovely lot of not much for the last week!!

just back to one job now & i am loving it...

the house got a much needed clean up & clean out!

lots of bits to finish now - frames to hang, clocks to hang & walls to paint & then i will be really happy.

sicknesses almost all gone & nearly back to normal!!

Miss T got her drivers licence...OMG...i freak her out she tells me as she was reduced to tears this morning after driving to school -darling A choose to ride his bike :0) - thank goodness another pro lesson this afternoon for her & i think might need a driving training lesson too or some drugs to calm my nerves...

scrappin..i've only done a few - too busy cleaning the house you see - no kidding!!!

couldn't work out the colours right & didn't have the pp i imagined i needed???!!! the pp matt under the photo is wrong but gave up in frustration...oh well scrapped a holiday pic all the same!!

had to use a photo that didn't turn out how you would have liked...well the look on my face says it all really....ugh - HORRIBLE!! but ignore my ugly looking face & look at the background of the pic..gorgeous across the bay to San Francisco!! BEAUTIFUL...

June WW1

white + red + circles/polkas dots

is been a while since i did a WW1 chall but the criteria matched perfectly with our Disney pics!! As i was taking these photos S whispered in my ear

'you know they are only people dressed up don't you???!!'

he is such a bugger!! so I had to use that as my journalling :0)

So i had to give it a go...I didn't have any red pp or CS so I had a scrounge & found some plain red tissue paper (the scallops), red spot tissue paper butterflies, red/white spot ribbon, red felt heart, red taffeta material for lollipop flower!! Its amazing what you find when you actually LOOK :0)
